Hampton Legacy - Gen. 1 chapter 1.2

After a few weeks in Sunset Valley, she met Connor Frio, an aspiring writer, at the local library.

Connor fell in love at first sight, and after they discovered the many common traits they shared, especially their love for books and writing, Whitney began to have feelings for him too.

Their relationship went rapidly to the next step when Connor moved in with Whitney only a few months after their first meeting.

Connor knew that she was the ONE for him and already wanted to have children with her;
"I Love You, Whitney"

and soon enough, Whitney got pregnant with their first baby.
"Are you serious?!"

"Our baby...!"

Only aged of 19, Whitney was worried about the future of their child; she wasn't earning much money from her freelance writer job and Connor didn't get a lot from his novels either...But Connor reassured her:
"Don't worry, as long as we love him/her, nothing else really matters!"

Whitney often wondered how Connor could be so naive and careless about some things; she, who had everything she had ever wanted less than a year ago...She didn't have any news from her parents since her graduation day.
"I guess I'm parentless from now on..." She thought; " I will never treat my child like they did with me!"

The nine months of pregnancy passed quickly and when the first contractions of the delivery begin, Whitney felt a sudden strike of fear through her body.
"Oh my God! This is it!"
But all went well for both the mother and the baby, Whitney gave birth to a sweet little girl, named Caroline Hampton, on a cloudless autumn day. The happy family return home after a few days at the hospital.

However she has never been interested in medicine studies nor has she ever pursued their wish to see her follow the family path; instead she wanted to become a journalist.

When she told her parents on her graduation day that she had applied into a journalism school, her father shut her off and warned her that if she went that way, she’d have to leave the family house for good, without their financial support!
Blown away by this outraged reaction, she decided to force her destiny anyway and left her hometown.

She moved in Sunset Valley, a lovely seaside town, where she immediately felt at home.
With nothing but her determination and courage in her pockets, she took a low-paid job at the local newspaper and tried her best to fulfill her dreams; and show her father that she made the right choice.
